| 4B Commission (Street Improvement Economic Development Corporation) | A non-profit entity established by the Council to operate, maintain, and finance the costs for street improvements and maintenance in the City of Bedford. It is funded by additional sales and use tax in the amount of one-half of one percent. |
| Animal Shelter Advisory Board | Has the power and duties as set forth in the City of Bedford Code of Ordinances Section 18-25, Section 18-84, and Section 18-187, and, as the City Council may from time to time impose upon the Board. |

| Community Affairs Commission | The Commission explores issues of public interest as identified and designated by the City Council, collects information, and makes constructive recommendations to Council/staff if any action should be taken by the City to satisfy those issues. |
| Cultural Arts Advisory Board | The purpose of the Cultural Arts Advisory Board is to serve as an advisory body to the City Council in order to improve arts and culture in the City of Bedford. |
| Ethics Commission | The purpose is to hear complaints and recommend the appropriate disposition of complaints regarding the conduct of elected officials, appointed officials and employees in accordance with the City's Code of Ethics. |

| Parks & Recreation Advisory Board | The purpose is to act as an advisory body to the Council in the procurement, development, supervision, and administration of City public recreational activities. |

| Planning & Zoning Commission | Recommends a plan for the physical development of the City; approval or denial of proposed changes in the zoning plan, and exercises control over platting/subdividing land within the corporate limits and outside the corporate limits. |

| Teen Court Advisory Board | An advisory body to the governing bodies of participating entities (Bedford, Euless, & Hurst) in providing an alternative to the formal court process for youth offenders and involving families in the administration of the alternative court process. |
| Zoning Board of Adjustment | Hears and decides appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the administrative officials in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance. The board also reviews certain variance requests. |
