Pumpkin Patch

Don't miss your chance to find your perfect pumpkin(s) and snap some festive fall photos at the Bedford Library Friends' Pumpkin Patch! Proceeds from the pumpkin sales will support two great causes: The Bedford Library Friends and the Navajo and Zuni Nations. *Patch Hours* October 14 - 31, 2021 Monday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Great Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Bring in your decorated (no carved) pumpkins for display and you might win a prize! Two categories: Children and Adults (ages 13+) Drop off your decorated pumpkin from October 14-26. No carved pumpkins. Voting will be October 18-28. Winners will be announced October 29. Pumpkins must be picked up by November 6. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of both categories will win a prize!

Bookworms Book Club

Come join the Bedford Bookworms' lively literary discussions! The last part of the meeting will include time for a recommended reads discussion. This will be a time to share other titles participants have read (or want to read) with the group. STEAM Storytime

Enjoy STEAM programs every third Thursday to engage your child's imagination and creativity. Parent/guardian participation is recommended. Tickets are required and will be given out 15 minutes before the event. Recommended ages 6 and up.

Gentle yoga is intended to be easier, less intense, non-strenuous, minimalistic, quiet, meditative, and somewhat restorative. This is a growing class, please come join them!

Senior Center- 5 Crowns/Skip Bo Card Games

Five Crowns- is a five-suited rummy-style card game. Skip Bo - Players use skill and strategy to create stacks of sequentially numbered, ascending cards (2,3,4…) until they have no more left to play.

Senior Pinochle

Pinochle (English: /'pi?n?k?l/), also called pinocle or penuchle, is a trick-taking, Ace-Ten card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck. It is derived from the card game bezique; players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. Need Players! Come join us!

Senior Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate bridge is the most widely used variation of contract bridge in club and tournament play. It is called duplicate because the same bridge deal (i.e. the specific arrangement of the 52 cards into the four hands) is played at each table and scoring is based on relative performance. In this way, every hand, whether strong or weak, is played in competition with others playing identical cards, and the element of skill is heightened while that of chance is reduced. Duplicate bridge stands in contrast to rubber bridge where each hand is freshly dealt and where scores may be more affected by chance in the short run. If you play come join the fun!

Focus of class activities is on writing short stories, novels, poems, memoirs and more. Constructive commentary by fellow classmates and instructor in a casual environment. Class, guided by published author, now in its third year.
