Bring the family and furr-kids to the Grand Opening ceremony on Saturday, June 1 with activities kicking off at 9 a.m. and a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. The Bark Park is located at 3200 Meadow Park Drive.
Jeanette Cook, Chair of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board said, “We are pleased to bring the Bark Park to Bedford. Thanks to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members for all their hard work on this project and a huge thanks to the City Council members who approved our plan.”
“I am excited that the City of Bedford is finally able to create a dog park for the residents. This fulfills a long term goal of our Park and Recreation Advisory Board and provides a safe and inviting place to exercise your dog. I am also very grateful to the HEB ISD for their continued partnership with the City of Bedford in creating this new dog park,” said Bedford Mayor Jim Griffin.
Generous donations have been made by the Brown Trail Animal Hospital, My Credit Union, and the friends of the Phodographer. There is plenty of opportunity to donate and corporate sponsorships are still available. Small donations can also be made through the City of Bedford's new donations page.
