Where can I find the jury duty dates?: The jury duty dates are listed on the website and on your paperwork. We normally set out for three months at a time so not all of the dates may be listed.

Teen Court

1. When does Teen Court meet?: Various Monday evenings at Bedford City Hall, Building A, 2000 Forest Ridge Dr. Bedford 76021.

2. Why choose Teen Court?: Teen Court allows participants to pay a minimal court cost of $20 and perform community service in lieu of paying for fines and court costs. Teens will be given up to 90 days to complete their community service and jury duties.

Successful completion of Teen Court keeps the violations from being reported on your driving record which could increase your automobile insurance rates and possibly suspend your driver’s license.

3. What do I have to do in Teen Court?: Appear at your first Teen Court setting with a parent or guardian. Follow the dress code required each time you appear in Teen Court. Complete community service hours as determined by a jury of your peers. Perform jury duties in Teen Court to determine community service for others.

5. I would like to volunteer and earn community service hours for school. How can I do this?: There is a teen volunteer application link that you can follow and fill out. You can email, mail, or drop it off the application.

6. I am an adult and I would like to volunteer. Are there any volunteer opportunities?: Yes, there are some opportunities. You can volunteer as a jury monitor, master jury monitor, or as a judge. If you volunteer as a judge, you need to be a licensed attorney. There is a link that you can fill out the application and either email, mail, or drop off the application.
