The Bedford Fire Department’s Citizens Fire Academy is back! This free 10-week course gives participants an inside look at the day-to-day operations at BFD. Classes meet every Thursday beginning March 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and cover a variety of topics including fire and arson investigations, vehicle extrication, training, and emergency management, in addition to many hands-on activities.
Participants must be 18 years or older and live or work in Bedford to attend. A background check will be performed on all applicants. Space is limited, so apply early at www.bedfordtx.gov/cfa. Applications are due by Monday, February 26.
