During last night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Michael Boyter announced he was stepping down as Mayor, effective today, September 13 at 5 p.m. In his remarks, he said he felt that upon approving the 2023-2024 budget that it was, “a good time for me to step aside and let others pick up the mantle from here.”

In addressing the Council and community, Mayor Boyter highlighted the numerous improvements that have been made both in the community and for City employees while he served as Mayor.
