This evening at 8:03 p.m., Bedford officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Bedford Road. Officers believe two individuals arranged meet through an online buy/sell platform to exchange goods. During that meeting, an altercation occurred and one of the individuals sustained gunshot wounds. That individual was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle and is being treated for his injuries. At this time, Bedford Detectives are processing the crime scene and collecting information to determine each person's roles in the incident. The shooting is considered to be an isolated incident and is not believed to be a threat to the community. This is an active investigation and further details will be released at a later time.
