UPDATE (Dec. 27, 3 p.m.): Great news! The Bedford Public Library will resume normal hours beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28 after losing power due to issues with the electrical grid on Monday. Oncor was called out to the area and made all necessary repairs to restore power.
The Library materials return is still accessible on the side of the building today, if needed. Please note, the Library will be closed Sunday and Monday, January 1-2 in observance of New Year’s Day.
ORIGNAL POST: The Bedford Public Library is closed until further notice due to a power surge that disabled critical systems within the building, including phones and Wi-Fi. City staff and electricians will work to determine the damage and how to resolve the issue so the Library can reopen as soon as possible.
Just a reminder, the Library materials return is still accessible on the side of the building. If anyone needs to reach Library staff during this time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Any updates or further changes will be posted on the Library’s communication channels.
