Keep Bedford Beautiful (KBB) was recently recognized as a Silver Star Affiliate by Keep Texas Beautiful, the statewide grassroots environmental and community improvement non-profit organization. KBB was one of only 28 affiliates (out of nearly 300) to receive this designation! The Silver Star is the second-highest status any affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful can achieve.

To achieve this Silver Star status, affiliates shared information on their mission and goals, answered questions about their partnerships and underserved populations, or participated in the Beautify Texas Awards or Governor’s Community Achievement Awards programs. Keep Bedford Beautiful, a program of the Beautification Commission, helps organize many City beautification events, including Clean Up Bedford Day and Crud Cruiser, educates the community on ways to improve the environment, and so much more.

In 2021 alone, Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates engaged 41,550 volunteers who contributed 190,094 hours to collect 3.25 million pounds of waste and recyclables from Texas roadways, trails, and waterways.
