Want to take a stroll and enjoy a book with the kiddos this weekend? Now you can! Bedford’s first two StoryWalk® books have been installed at Central and Harris Ryals Parks! StoryWalk® is an interactive way for readers of all ages to enjoy a story and the outdoors at the same time. As you walk down the trail at either park, weather-proof signs are located along the path where you can read the story, page by page!
Central Park (1200 Central Drive) currently features the book, How to Catch a Gingerbread Man by Adam Wallace. Harris Ryals Park (2700 Cummings Dr.) features How Animals Get Ready for Winter by Laura Purdie Salas. The Bedford Public Library will install different books to the StoryWalk® signs in January.
This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
