Attention parents! Do you have a junior or senior high school student looking for scholarship opportunities? The Cities of Bedford, Euless, and Hurst have partnered with the HEB Chamber of Commerce for the annual Youth in Government program. The program was developed by the Chamber to engage young people in city government and their communities and while providing multiple scholarships to deserving participants.
The program meets twice a month on Monday nights from January 10 through April 4, ending in a graduation ceremony on April 11. Each session is 1.5 hours long and covers a variety of topics such as the importance of voting and elections, police and fire department services, potential career fields, community service, and much more.
Youth in Government applicants must be a junior or senior in high school by January 1 and live in Bedford, Euless, or Hurst. However, students do not need to be enrolled in HEB ISD. For more information and to complete the online application, please visit https://bit.ly/3G9S8Ve.
