Calling all artists, it’s time to rock! As part of the Musical Collaboration event on Saturday, October 16 celebrating one year of the Sparkling Ice Musical Pocket Playground at the Old Bedford School, you’re invited to decorate a guitar that will be on display during the event!

The guitars are made from card stock and can be decorated with any medium of your choosing. Those in attendance will be able to vote on their favorites from each category, including:

  • Best Use of Recycled Materials
  • Best Design
  • Best Use of Color
  • Best Band Tribute

Winners in each category will receive a prize! Guitars can be picked up and dropped off at the following locations:

  • Bedford Public Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) during normal business hours (pick up guitars in the lobby and drop off at the Information Desk)
  • Parks Service Center (2140 L Don Dodson Dr.) – Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All guitars must be returned by Friday, October 15 to participate in the contest. Please remember to put your name and parent/guardian phone number on the back of the guitar. Arrangements can be made to pick up guitars at a different time by emailing
