Join us in turning the trail at Harris Ryals Park into an outdoor art gallery! To kick off National Arts and Humanities Month, the City will host its first “Chalk It Up!” chalk art contest on Saturday, October 2 at Harris Ryals Park, 2700 Cummings Dr.

Beginning at 11 a.m., participants will be assigned a concrete square to create their masterpiece! The first 75 people to register will receive their own set of chalk, or you can bring your own! Extra chalk will be available, while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded based on a variety of categories: 6 and under, 7-10 years old, 11-14 years old, 15-17 years old, 18 and up, overall best 3-D, most unique, best use of color, best fall theme, and overall people’s choice!

Come hungry as Crown Catering will be on-site, serving up tacos, quesadillas, burritos, churros, and more! Parking will be available at Spring Garden Elementary School and the YMCA parking lot.

The event is free; however, registration is required. Register online here.
