Block parties, poster contests, and hanging out with first responders? Say no more! On Tuesday, October 5 from 5 to 9 p.m., we invite all Bedford neighborhoods and homeowner associations to participate in National Night Out, a cohesive effort to promote crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood unity. Registered block parties are also eligible to receive visits from members of the City Council, Bedford Police Department, and Bedford Fire Department! The first 10 registered block parties will receive a Bedford Police swag bag. Registration forms are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 10.

In addition, we’re unveiling a poster contest for kids ages 4 through 13! Kiddos can use their imaginations to create a masterpiece based on the theme “Partnering to Stop Crime.” Prizes will be awarded to the first-place winners in each age group. Posters must be submitted in-person to the Bedford Police Department by Friday, September 17.
