[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Show Scheduled for July Fourth

Fourth of July Fireworks graphic

The City will put on a fireworks display on Sunday, July 4 starting at 10 p.m. This year is unique in that even though the fireworks will be shot off from Generations Park at Boys Ranch, there will not be any designated place to view them since the park is under construction. Instead, crews will be shooting the fireworks 200-feet higher than usual, so residents will be able to see them from further away. Since the park is under long-term construction, it will not be open for pedestrian or vehicular traffic during the fireworks show.

Residents are encouraged to find safe, alternate locations to view the fireworks and refrain from coming to the park. All traffic laws will be strictly enforced. Patrons are also asked to be respectful to the neighborhoods adjacent to the park. Additional information on road closures can be found at

Just a reminder that private fireworks are prohibited in the City of Bedford.
