[ARCHIVED] Water Conservation Still Needed

Water Conversation Graphic

Just a reminder, it is VERY important for Bedford residents and businesses to conserve as much water as possible from now until Tuesday. We know with temperatures getting warmer, it’s tempting to resume normal water usage.

However, there’s still a high demand on our water supply right now due to line breaks and running faucets. By reducing water usage, it will decrease the burden on the system so everyone can continue receiving a safe and adequate water supply in Bedford. At this time (Saturday, February 20), there is NO need to boil water.

Helpful ways to reduce water include refraining from washing clothes, running the dishwasher, decrease bathing/showering times, turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. Additionally, if broken water lines are found within a house or area, service should be shut off immediately.

For questions, please contact Bedford Public Works at 817-952-2200. For waterline assistance after-hours, please call the Bedford PD non-emergency line at 817-952-2127.
