Yesterday, ERCOT directed Oncor and other utilities to begin restoring power previously dropped from the electric grid. As a result of the increased generation and stable demand, Oncor was able to cease controlled, or rotating, outages.
According to Oncor there were approximately 150,000 customers still without power in their whole territory due to winter storm damage. Their crews are continuing to work around the clock so all customers’ power is restored.
Oncor also believes their outage map is still inaccurate and is expecting it to take some time for their tracking system to accurately reflect the outages.
