[ARCHIVED] Keep Water Flowing in Your Home

Photo of kitchen faucet

Be sure to keep your water flowing by taking the following steps:

  • Make sure that faucets are on at least a drip
  • Open cabinets to let warmer air hit pipes
  • If you have power and a water purifier, many times they have internal heaters that keep pipes from freezing such as lightbulbs. Check to see if the internal heaters are working correctly.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done to unfreeze the pipes once they are frozen. As temperatures rise, pipes will thaw and flow again.
