Water University 2020 Classes in Bedford

The classes are hosted by the City of Bedford and presented by Texas AgriLife, an extension service of Texas A&M. Please register for the following classes through the links below each class title.

Whether you’re trying to eat healthier, want to know where your food comes from, or just love the idea of growing delicious vine-ripened vegetables at home, this class in for you.  Learn proper soil preparation, garden design and layouts, disease and insect identification, as well as the proper planting times for getting the most production out of your favorite vegetables in the challenging climate of North Texas.

DIY Rain Barrel Class

This program covers the basics and benefits of rainwater harvesting and the effects stormwater has on the environment. Participants will learn how to collect and utilize rainwater at home and have the opportunity to construct their very own 55-gallon rain barrel. Rain barrels are recycled food-grade containers and are roughly 24" wide by 36" tall. By ordering a rain barrel(s), you are registered to attend the class. REBATE FOR CITY OF BEDFORD RESIDENTS ONLY: Barrels for City of Bedford Residents will be only $25! Registered addresses will be verified.
