Conflict of Interest

  • Chapter 176 Texas Local Government Code requires the public disclosure of certain information concerning persons doing business or seeking to do business with the City, including family, business, and financial relationships such persons may have with City officers and employees involved in the planning, recommending, selecting, and contracting of a vendor.
  • Learn how to register and file the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire on the Texas Ethics Commissions website.
  • The CIQ form must be filed and submitted to Purchasing within seven business days from the date the person or business begins contract discussions or negotiations with the City, submits a response to a request for proposals or bids, or when the person or business becomes aware of an employment, business, or family relationship with the local government officer or local government officer's family member.
