In 2022, the Frozen Turkey Drive will occur on Thursday, November 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Fire Station, 1816 Bedford Rd. During this time, the community will be able to drop off a frozen turkey that will be donated to the North East Emergency Distribution Center.
About the Turkey Drive
Each year, the Fire Department collects frozen turkeys from community members to donate to North East Emergency Distribution Center (NEED), a northeast Tarrant County faith-based non-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide short-term emergency assistance of food, clothing, TXU payments and bus vouchers to those in need.
In 2021, the Fire Department was able to donate more than 100 turkeys, thanks to the generosity of Bedford residents. We appreciate everyone's efforts to help others have a great Thanksgiving.
