Forest Ridge Drive 12-Inch Water Line from Bedford Road to Harwood Road

Description: This is the eleventh project utilizing the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) funding. The project would tie into the Harwood Road Water Line project, which is currently under construction to ensure adequate water supply to support the new infrastructure at Generations Park. This project includes 2,906 linear feet of 12-inch water line and 82 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer line, plus related appurtenances (gate valve and boxes and any incidental work that may be needed).

Atkins Brothers Equipment Company Inc. (Atkins) submitted the lowest responsive bid of the eleven bids received on April 8, 2021. A pre-construction meeting with Atkins, staff, and the Project Engineer was held on September 23, 2021. 

After the completion of the waterline project, the City will follow up with pavement improvements on Forest Ridge Drive from Bedford Road to Harwood Road.

Gregory and Bedford Court Additions Street and Utility Improvement Project

Description: This project includes street improvements and the replacement of deteriorated sanitary sewer prior to the reconstruction of several streets in the Gregory and Bedford Court Addition. Streets that will be receiving pavement improvements include McCurry Avenue, Prestwick Street, Warwick Street, Windsor Court, Warwick Court, and Gettysburg Place. Sanitary sewer improvements will be along Prestwick Street, Warwick Street, Windsor Court, and Warwick Court.  The water lines in the neighborhood were previously replaced by the City under the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) program.

The design for the project was executed June 2022. Topographic surveying and geotechnical investigations began August 2022. Bidding, and awarding is projected to take place in the first quarter of 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin after October 1, 2023.

Harwood Road 12-Inch Water Line Project from Hurst City Limits to Bedfordshire

Description: This is the tenth project utilizing the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) funding. This project includes the installation of approximately 12,400 linear feet of PVC water pipe, 604 linear feet of iron water pipe, 24" steel casing, and related appurtenances (fire hydrants, valves, meter boxes, and service lines). The project has been prioritized to replace the water lines for Generations Park, to ensure adequate water supply to support the new infrastructure. 

A&M Construction and Utilities, Inc. submitted the lowest qualified bid of the twelve bids received on July 30, 2020. The construction work began on Harwood Road at Bedfordshire on January 12. The project will progress from the east at Bedfordshire toward the Hurst city limits to avoid construction at Generations Park.

After the completion of the waterline project, the City will follow up with pavement improvements on Harwood Road from the Hurst city limits to Bedfordshire.

West Pipeline Road Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement from Arwine Cemetery Road to Raider Dr.

Description: This is the twelfth project utilizing the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) funding. This project includes the installation of approximately 7,400 linear feet of 8-inch water pipe and over 5,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe ranging in size from 6-inches to 15-inches, plus related appurtenances (gate valves, meter boxes, manholes, and pavement replacement).  

A&M Construction Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid of the eight bids received on September 16, 2021.
