Ordinances

Fire Code: The Bedford Fire Department operates under the 2018 International Fire Code with Local Amendments. 

Fire Alarms: The Bedford Fire Department adopted the current Fire Alarm Ordinance in 2011, which applies to commercial and residential properties.

Locking Key Boxes: The Bedford Fire Department requires all commercial buildings with fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems to have a locking key box (Knox Box) installed, locking FDC caps, and pad locks.
