National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign on the first Tuesday in October in Texas that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out is designed to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
Bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances
Send a message to criminals letting them know our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
Block Party Registration
On Tuesday, October 4 from 5 to 9 p.m., we invite all Bedford communities to participate in the annual National Night Out. Neighborhoods around the City will turn on their outside lights and host block parties and cookouts to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
