The Training and Recruiting division is responsible for the hiring of all employees within the department, both sworn and civilian positions. In addition to recruiting, this division is also tasked with providing training, that exceeds the basic Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements. This division develops annual in-service training classes that incorporate TCOLE mandated topics as well as those proposed by the Department's command staff.
