Generations Park at Boys Ranch

On November 6, 2017, Bedford voters passed the General Obligation Parks Bond for $70 million, authorizing funding for the redevelopment of Boys Ranch Park and transforming it into Generations Park at Boys Ranch. 

In June 2019, the City Council voted to allocate $64.5 million towards construction of Generations Park at Boys Ranch (Phase Next) and $5.5 million towards the design and construction of a visual performing arts center at the Old Bedford School. Facilities and Amenities

Generations Park at Boys Ranch will include: 

  • The Center: The multi-generation recreation center will feature community/activity rooms, fitness rooms, a game lounge, and indoor pool with two slides, a therapeutic hot tub, lap lanes, play feature, and reservable party rooms. The Center will include a fitness mezzanine with an indoor track, exercise equipment, free weights, and double court gymnasium, as well as locker rooms with showers, lockers, and family changing rooms.
  • Outdoor Water Park: Within The Center, the facility will feature a lazy river, concessions, restroom building, lap lanes, reservable cabanas, chaise lounges, two slides, splash pad, and play features.
  • The Ballfields at Generations Park: The softball/baseball complex will include three fields, a restroom, and concession building.
  • Special Events Lawn: The manicured lawn will include two pavilions with sound and lights for staging entertainment, in addition to an accompanying restroom building.
