The Public Works Water Maintenance Department is responsible for bringing to you
Our water services include:
- Exercising water valves
- Maintaining and repairing 148 miles of water lines
- Maintaining and repairing fire hydrants
- Maintaining the city's 3 elevated storage tanks and 2
ground water wells - Repairing water meters

Please call our Public Work's main number at 817-952-2200 for water service requests such as water shut off assistance for home repairs, reporting water leaks, low water pressure, or general questions about our water distribution system. For after regular working hours call 817-952-2127 for assistance. For new water service, to discontinue service, or water bill questions, call the Customer Service Department at 817-952-2112.

2021 Water Bill Increase
The City of Bedford is committed to providing its customers with reliable, high-quality drinking water and services while maintaining its facilities and infrastructure.
Effective January 1, 2021, the City of Bedford will adjust its water and sewer rates to account for an increase in the cost of services from the Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA). The City relies on TRA to provide wholesale water and sewer services to Bedford residents and businesses. The cost for these services is a rate per 1,000 gallons of water and sewer distributed by the City of Bedford.
These rate adjustments will aid in safeguarding against water delivery interruptions and help pay for key water/sewer projects, ensuring the City continues providing safe and reliable drinking water to Bedford residents.
