Parks & Recreation

park and rec month-01

July is Parks and Rec Month! Celebrate with Bedford by honoring the P&R professionals who — full of passion for their communities — represent a diverse group of professionals who are confronting our most pressing health, environmental and social challenges.

summer cancelled main-01

At the virtual council meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, the Bedford City Council made the difficult decision to cancel all summer programs and events, including Bedford Splash Aquatics Center, Bedford Summer Day Camp, 4thFest, and the Bedford Blues & BBQ festival. This will not only aid the City in protecting the health and well-being of the community and staff, but the savings will go toward funding essential services and help ease the financial burden, now and in the future.

City facilities remain closed until further notice. This includes City Hall, the Boys Ranch Activity Center, Senior Center, Old Bedford School, the Law Enforcement Center, and the Animal Shelter; however, City services continue. Animal Shelter adoptions can be made through appointments, water bills can be paid online, permits can be obtained via phone, Neighborhood Services officers will continue to patrol their districts, customer service is still available via phone, and more.
