Update 4/13
During the April 13 meeting, City Council members approved staff’s request for in-person summer events to begin May 3, with suggested COVID-19 precautions at each event. This means the official return of summer camps, library programs, senior citizen programming, and much more.

The City is planning a fireworks display. However, there will not be the typical in-person events and entertainment that comprise Bedford’s annual Fourth Fest.

The City will not hold the annual Blues and BBQ Fest this year. Instead, City officials will take the extra time that’s needed to fully reimagine and create a new signature event for the community. Over the next year, there will be multiple discussions with City Council and the time necessary for planning and securing great entertainment and vendors. The Council plans to host the City’s future signature event in 2022 at the perfect venue, the new Generations Park.

The Boys Ranch Activity Center, Bedford Senior Center Building, Bedford Onstage Building, Arts Council North-East Building, Splash Water Park and the Club House for Special Needs are all permanently closed.
